Role Introduction

We are looking for a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist with experience working with Learning Disabilities. Our service works with Children aged 5-18 years old who have a moderate to severe Learning Disability and are presenting with behaviours that challenge. We are a small passionate team which has 3 pathways Consultation, Intervention and Psychiatry.

Our main intervention is PBS and we require skills in PBS alongside complex case work and formulation. You will be confident working with families, educators, social workers and health colleagues. The team value Clinical Psychology support. You will liaise with multiple systems and support risk management from the system around the child. The team covers Leeds so travel will be expected, working independently and co-working with the team. You will be part of LCH and be responsible for supporting data gathering, formulating with CYPMHs and representing LCH within the DSR. This will be alongside identifying process’ to improve service delivery.

You will be supported in your role by Clinical Psychologists based in other services within CYPMH services.

The successful candidate will work within our Learning Disability team, comprised of specialist Learning Disability nursing, Psychological Children's Wellbeing Practitioner, Consultant Psychiatry, assistant and administration support. 

We are a city wide team supporting young people, their families and wider support networks, where the young person has a GP within the Leeds boundary.
